Parish Groups

 

MU (Mothers' Union) 

MU is dedicated to strengthening and preserving marriage and Christian family life. The MU presents those being Baptised with a gift and a card on their anniversary. The Branch meets on the 2nd Friday of each month at 9:30am at St. Peter the Fisherman.

 

​​Parish Ladies Guild ​

Meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 11.00am.​ The guild holds several fundraising activities throughout the year and join with the Thursday Friendship Group for a Biggest Morning Tea raising funds for Cancer Council Queensland. 

 

​Evening Guild 

Meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm. The guild holds several fundraising activities throughout the year. 

 

​​Thursday Friendship Group ​​

A time to meet for morning tea, craft and fellowship at 9:00am on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month.​

 

​Bible Studies / Group Discussions: 

Yearly Advent and Lent Study Discussions.

Other Bible Group Discussion held throughout the year.

IMPORTANT: At any of our Bible Discussion Groups, you will not be asked to pray or read the Bible aloud or be asked to answer questions.  If you wish, you may just sit in on the group and listen.

Home Communions

Fr Howard and others visit homes of the aged and sick and share Holy Communion with them. This can be arranged by phoning Fr Howard 32849283.

 

Pastoral Care 

​Is a very important ministry in the parish. Carers may visit you when you are sick, let Fr Howard know if you'd like a visit, call just to say hello, and deliver the parish newsheet. As well as visiting the local Aged Care Facilities.

 

​​Mission Support 

An important area of outreach for the church is to support the activities of mission agencies working in Australia and overseas. The Parish pledges a proportion of its annual income to support mission activities and donations are also given through regular giving and mission boxes.
